It is hard to believe that September is almost over. In the retail grocery world this means that the fun is
about to start. Whether natural or conventional, all grocers are gearing up for the traditional holidays. In the cooperative sector we have an extra celebration – October is National Co-op Month. It’s a time when we get to shout from the rooftops (or the parking lot) about what it means to be part of a community that believes in operating with purpose, not just for profit.
My job is to lay the foundation for longevity, and things are well underway.
Over the coming months you will see a lot of changes, some new faces, new products, new sustainability initiatives, and we will be leaning into our core values, reminding you why you became an owner. Do not worry though, you will still be able to find your favorite foods and people.
