Hello Co-op Owners,
Welcome April! This month brings warmer temperatures, longer days, and spring showers—along with a few celebrations, including April Fool’s Day, Earth Day, and, of course, Tax Day—fun fact: someone in the store was born on April 1st.
For Earth Day, we’ve partnered with the Environmental Defenders of McHenry County for a hands-on mending class. You’ll learn basic stitches and receive one-on-one support as you work on your own pieces—celebrating Earth by reusing what you have while learning new skills.
New Happenings:
We’re hard at work preparing an exciting lineup of summer events—seven in total, still to be announced—including the return of our Hatch Chile Roasting. Stay tuned!
Our kitchen team is putting the finishing touches on a fresh spring menu, launching in early May. And for those of you loving our daily baked chickens—good news—they’re here to stay.
We’ve welcomed new local vendors, including Johnny & Elle’s Cookies (featuring their classic pinwheels) and CrossiTreats (with Sunbutter & jelly uncrustables). We’ve also expanded our Kevin’s Meals selection and added convenient lunch bowls near the grab-and-go coolers.
As part of Earth Month and spring-cleaning season, be sure to check out our expanded selection of cleaning supplies throughout the store—featuring products that are gentler on the environment, including favorites from Seventh Generation.
