FOOD PREPARATION SUPERVISOR

Summary

The purpose of this position is to oversee the prepared foods department. This person will be active in ordering, receiving, pricing, stocking, and promoting products to meet store sales and margin goals across the following sub-departments: Food Service, Grab n Go, Cheese and Specialty, Bakery, and Beverage Bar.

STORE CLERK

Summary

This position ensures the smooth operation of the store’s front-end point-of-sale system and adherence to department standards, while providing customers with a friendly, engaging shopping experience. Greet customers, provide them with item information, and direct them to the item’s location in the store. Discard all expired items in accordance with company policy. Supervise cleanliness and maintenance duties around the grocery store. Manage inventory and inform procurement managers when inventory levels are low.

Key responsibilities include interacting with customers, balancing the cash register, handling purchases and returns, and scanning items. Clerks must discard expired items per company policy, maintain store cleanliness, and stay informed about product codes, return policies, and current promotions.

COOK

Summary

This position assists the department manager in overseeing the Food Preparation Department. This person will be active in setting up workstations, ingredient preparation, cooking skills, kitchen hygiene and organization for the Food Preparation category to meet store goals for sales, margin, and labor costs. Oversee department staff in the Food Preparation Department and provide prompt and friendly customer service. Receive deliveries following established receiving procedures. Train department staff on job responsibilities. Ensure department staff are informed of policy changes and maintain communication notebooks. Follow all health department requirements.

Key responsibilities include overseeing department staff, receiving deliveries, training team members, and maintaining kitchen hygiene and sanitation. Cooks must accurately follow set recipes and create new innovative recipes with attention to detail and exceptional follow through, while working well in a team and complying with all health regulations.

POS Data Coordinator

Summary

To maintain complete, accurate, up-to-date pricing, POS records, and shelf tags for all departments and customers. Maintain member-owner database in POS system, working with Office Manager and Department supervisors. Support the General Manager’s efforts in carrying out the Co-op’s goals and objectives as communicated by the General Manager.
