6th Annual Food Shed Plant Sale

Get ready to kick off gardening season at our 6th Annual Plant Sale on Saturday, May 16, from 9 AM to 2 PM! Join us on the beautiful and relaxing patio at the Food Shed Co-op for a morning dedicated to gardeners of all levels.

Local growers will be on hand selling a wide range of vegetable starts, culinary herbs, flowers, and native plants to help you get your garden growing. Shoppers can expect to find favorites like kale, basil, parsley, cucumbers, squash, peppers, sunflowers, coneflowers, and more, along with unique varieties you may not see elsewhere.

Participating growers include Blazing Star Inc., Chicago Tomato Man, Emily Zack, Wild Trillium Farm, and Broadview Farm & Gardens. These knowledgeable farmers and backyard growers will be there to share their plants and gardening advice, making it a great chance to connect with the people who grow the plants you’ll take home.
