Food Shed Pollinator Garden Ceremony and Work Day

April 19 @ 12:45 pm - 3:00 pm

The Food Shed Co-op pollinator garden is officially being recognized by The Land Conservancy of McHenry County as part of their Conservation@Work program!

This program helps community spaces support cleaner water, healthier soil, and thriving wildlife through native plants, reduced chemical use, and smart land stewardship.

Come for the dedication of our Pollinator Garden and Conservation@Work sign unveiling—and stay to connect, learn, and celebrate what’s possible when a community comes together 🌼 You can even jump in, get your hands dirty, and help care for the garden!

Event Schedule:
1:00–1:05 PM – Welcome + Conservation@Work sign presentation
1:05–1:15 PM – Garden tour
1:15–1:20 PM – Volunteer activity overview & assignments
1:20–3:00 PM – Community garden work (and fun!) 🌿

The Food Shed Co-op gratefully recognizes co-op owners Caron and Steve Wenzel for their leadership and generous financial support, which helped bring this garden to life and made our participation in the Conservation@Work program possible. 🌱
